saying someone who is calling out your bigotry is bullying you is a really obvious tactic to shift the blame off yourself

like, really obvious

humiliatingly obvious

it’s even more awful when the person calling you out is a member of a marginalised group who is statistically more likely to have been actually bullied for being queer/poc/disabled/etc because they are oppressed

you just contributed to that oppression and they are calling you out

by trying to put them blame on them for reacting to you being offensive is contributing to that some more

here’s a novel idea: instead of being a fuckwad and digging your hole deeper, you just apologise for being offensive and try not to do it in future
